Building next generation Mathematicians

iPuzzler club is open to all students in Years 7-12. This provides a space where students can focus on their ability to solve and learn critical thinking out of the box and build higher order thinking skills in puzzles including the challenge of solving the Rubik’s cube including different configurations. They will be encouraged to work on projects and read some research papers and Maths investigations by famous Mathematicians across history and fathom their discoveries.

When is this activity happening?	Thursday Lunch time starting Week 3.

What will students learn to do?	Students will work towards Solving the Rubik’s cube Developing problem solving techniques Completing projects towards submitting them in Excelencia Journal entries. Researching Mathematical investigations from other schools. Building hands on models.

Is there a cost?:	There is no cost for this activity.
Extra Information: Students should bring their laptops and/or a Rubik’s cube with them. They are encouraged to have lunch before or after the club. Water bottles may be brought in.
