Student Achievements

Updated: Oct 20, 2023

Read more to hear about the fantastic achievements from Jax in Year 6, Abigail in Year 3, Nishaan in Year 1, and Nathaniel, Thomas and Sarah in Year 12.

Jax Alderton (Year 6) - BMX

From the age of seven, Jax asked his parents if he could attend a BMX bike track as his friend had shared how he was a BMX biker. Jax’s expertise in BMX has grown considerably since his early days as he recently competed in a major NSW Rally and won the title of Under 12’s State Champion!

Jax practises 6 days a week which keeps him very busy. He loves his bike and he enjoys the gear he gets to wear when practising or competing. Jax would like a career in BMX biking and is off now to compete at the Australian Nationals. Great job Jax, we are all so proud of you!

Abigail Munster (Year 3) - Ice Hockey

Congratulations to Abigail and the Sydney Bears, her ice hockey team, for their incredible efforts over the season. Abigail was chosen to represent the Sydney Bears at the Coffs Harbour tournament, as the team’s goaltender. Her mother Michelle said, “With God’s help and the support of her teammates she had so much confidence on the ice, they were all so encouraging of one another, it was beautiful to see.”

The Sydney Bears under 9’s team have won every game they have played, made it to the finals and won gold! Well done, Abigail!

Nishaan Singh (Year 1) - Visual Arts

Nishaan in Year 1 started a painting class in July this year and has already made incredible gains in this area.

Below are three artworks he has recently completed, with some information about each one.

Title: "Serenity Falls"

Description: "Serenity Falls" is a captivating acrylic painting that depicts a majestic waterfall cascading from rugged cliffs into a crystal-clear pool below. Nishaan has worked to capture the interplay of light and shadow, infusing the water's surface with a mesmerizing dance of reflections.

Title: "Winter's Embrace"

Description: "Winter's Embrace" is another acrylic scene portraying the quiet enchantment of a snow-covered urban street corner. Snow was created with ear buds and berries with the fingertips.

Title: "Father's Day Reverie"

Description: "Father's Day Reverie" is a heartwarming acrylic painting that tenderly portrays a father rabbit and his young offspring sharing a moment of quiet contemplation. This painting beautifully captures the universal themes of paternal love and the boundless dreams a father encourages in his child, making it a touching tribute to Father's Day. In this painting, Nishaan practised vertical and horizontal brush strokes, and dabbing motions with toothpicks, ears buds and finger tips.

We look forward to seeing more of Nishaan’s work in upcoming years!
