Primary Choir, Kindergarten Choir, Year 4W Choir, and Charlie Hermon (Year 6) Achievements at Hawkesbury Eisteddfod
Congratulations to our Primary Choir who came in first place in the Hawkesbury Eisteddfod last Friday with the highest score in any category of 90/100!
The accolades continued as our Year 4W and Kindergarten Choirs both came 2nd place in their categories!
We are so proud of all our students for their courage and excellence in their performances. Thank you to Ms Harris, our Primary Music Specialist, as well as Ms Woods and our Kindergarten teachers for leading and training them so well.
Furthermore Charlie Hermon in Year 6 performed in the pianoforte section, playing 'Reflections' by Daniel McFarlane and placed fourth. We are so proud of his achievements, congratulations Charlie!
Secondary CAPA Achievements
It has been a huge few weeks for some of our Secondary students in their pursuit of creative and performing arts!
Congratulations to Jung Woon in Year 8 for coming 3rd place in the 2023 NAIDOC Art 'For Our Elders' Competition, Sarah in Year 12 who has been performing in a stunning production of Les Misérables at the Riverside Theatre, and LeBron in Year 10 for winning Triple J's Unearthed High competition as an up-and-coming artist to watch!
It is a delight to see our students pursuing their creative endeavours in a myriad of ways, and we are thankful to our Creative and Performing Arts Faculty for their dedication to each and every one of our students in their abilities. Well done Jung Woon, Sarah & LeBron!
Asha & Rafaela - Australian School Sport National Swimming Championships
We are delighted to share of the achievements of two of our Distance Education students, Asha Ring (Year 9) and Rafaela Kopellou (Year 10), who have demonstrated their talents in the pool at the Australian School Sport National Swimming Championships in Sydney this week.
Rafaela secured gold in the 200m Individual Medley and 200m Butterfly, along with a silver in the 400m Individual Medley. Asha claimed a bronze in the 200m Freestyle, silver in the 50m Freestyle, and bronze in both the 50m Breaststroke and Medley Relay events. The championships are currently ongoing at the Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre. Congratulations to Rafaela and Asha on their outstanding efforts!
