As Term 1 comes to an end, our sporting competitions are reaching their exciting conclusions.
The CSSA Met West Zone Volleyball Competition wrapped up on March 19 with thrilling Grand Finals. Our ACC Open Girls' team showcased commendable skill, securing runners Up, while our Under 15s triumphed as the 2024 Zone Champions. Well done, girls!
On March 26, our swimmers represented the college proudly at the CSSA Secondary State Swimming Championships. Congratulations to Ava Hepburn, Bonnie Norton and Edwina Biermann, whose outstanding performances have earned them spots in the upcoming Combined Independent Schools State Championships.
Our ACC Futsal development squads have consistently impressed in the Riverstone Futsal Competition since last October. As the season drew to a close, both teams made it to the Semifinals, with ACC Blue securing a spot in the Grand Finals on 10 April. Their display of determination and resilience, especially after facing a challenging defeat, truly showcases their remarkable character.
It has been inspiring to witness our students' teamwork, resilience, and sportsmanship, whether in challenging friendly matches against Penrith Anglican College in football and netball or braving the wet weather at the CSSA State Triathlon.
Congratulations to all our student athletes on their sporting performances this Term. We eagerly anticipate your continued success as we delve into new sports and competitions in the coming months. Mark your calendars for the Secondary Cross Country Carnival on 1 May. See you there!
