PRIMARY SCHOOL UPDATE Miss Vivian Lee (Primary Community & Ministry Coordinator)
It has been a wonderful fortnight in the Primary School as we have celebrated the conclusion of another busy and rewarding term together. We are thankful for the many opportunities students have had to learn, grow, and be encouraged in both their learning and their understanding of who Jesus is.
This fortnight, we gathered for our final Primary Chapel of the term, where students explored Luke 8:40–53. Through the accounts of Jairus' daughter and the woman who touched Jesus' cloak, students were reminded that Jesus is King over our personal lives. We reflected on the remarkable truth that Jesus not only has the power to help people, but that He also cares deeply for each individual. In the midst of a large crowd, Jesus stopped for one woman, spoke to her personally, and reassured her with these words:
"Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace."Â Luke 8:48
Students were encouraged to consider their own response to Jesus and the invitation to personally trust Him as their King. It was a wonderful conclusion to our chapel series through Luke 8, which has helped students see that Jesus is King over nature, the spiritual world, and our own lives.
As we come to the end of Term 2, we would like to thank our students, staff, and families for their partnership and support throughout the semester. A reminder that Semester 1 reports are now available. Families should have received an email containing a link to log in and access their child's report. If you have not yet had the opportunity to do so, we encourage you to take some time over the holidays to read through your child's report and celebrate their progress.
We pray that the holiday break will be a time of rest, refreshment, and quality time with loved ones. Most importantly, we pray that our school community would know the peace that Jesus offers to all who trust in Him - a peace that comes from being welcomed into a relationship with God through His Son.
We wish all our families a safe, restful, and blessed holiday and look forward to welcoming everyone back for Term 3.
MARSDEN BEAR’S ADVENTURES WITH 2P Mrs Denia Priestley
Marsden Bear has had so much fun visiting 2P this fortnight. Marsden has helped 2P with their Australian Animal research. He particularly enjoyed researching koalas. He loved helping them to choose books in the Library and even got to play chess with 2P in the Library. His favourite activities of his time in 2P were Year 11 Buddies, Lemon Myrtle Damper and Praying. We hope to see you again soon Marsden Bear!
