Welcome to the 2026 school year! A particular welcome to our new families - we hope you are settling in well.

We have included some information below that is useful for our new families but will also be a handy reminder for existing families.

CAR LINE INFORMATION - Making Drop-Off Safer

There are a number of safety protocols and procedures in place to keep our families and students safe when using the Car Line. To help with achieving this, we ask that parents and carers please follow the guidelines below - you can also watch the video demonstration here

  • Travel west along Farm Road from Cleveland Road and turn left into Gate 3.

  • Form two lanes along the front boundary of the College.

  • Round the corner and follow staff directions to proceed along the Car Line. Please do not stop or allow your student to exit the vehicle while on the corner.

  • To allow more families to safely drop off their students, please keep moving along the Car Line, ensuring there are no gaps between you and the car in front. If you have stopped in the middle of the car line, staff may direct you to move forward to allow more vehicles to fit behind you.

  • Morning - To follow safety protocols and reduce the risk of accidents occurring, parents should not exit their vehicle. Should your student need help exiting your car, please utilise an ‘Assistance Appreciated’ sign and wait for assistance. More information about this sign can be found below.

  • Afternoon - Staff will be present to assist your students with entering the vehicle. As per the morning routine, parents should not exit their vehicle.

  • Please be mindful of other cars driving through the Car Line as you exit.

  • Please exit out of Gate 3, and turn LEFT onto Farm Rd.

We recognise that many new families may be using the Car Line for the first time. As students and families become familiar with the drop-off and pick-up procedures, we understand there may be a short adjustment period during which these guidelines can be challenging to follow consistently. This is particularly true for our younger students, including those in Kindergarten, who may need a parent or carer to walk them to their classroom. In this situation, please park offsite and walk through the pedestrian gates located at both entrances.

The College appreciates and thanks families for their patience and ongoing commitment to maintaining a safe and orderly Car Line environment.

‘Assistance Appreciated’ Signs To help ensure the safety of our students, families, and staff during morning Car Line, the College has introduced an ‘Assistance Appreciated’ sign.

This sign is for families whose children need help exiting their vehicle safely. By using the sign, we can prevent situations where a parent needs to exit the car.

If your student needs assistance to exit your vehicle, please visit the Concierge Desk at the Tech Centre to collect a sign or request from Car Line Staff.

Your safety, and the safety of all students, is a priority to the College. Thank you for helping us keep our Car Line safe and efficient for everyone.

PARKING

Please be advised that the following parking and drop off areas are available for parents and carers of ACC students. We ask for your cooperation in being respectful of our neighbours, who deal with a high volume of traffic related to our College, and to be mindful of safety around all cars and pedestrians.

  • Street Parking on Farm Road - Please ensure you are parked with two wheels on the road to avoid a parking fine from Council inspectors. Please do not park in signed ‘no parking’ areas or in neighbouring driveways.

  • Nearby Property Driveway - The tree-lined driveway at the end of Park Road is private property, however the owners generously allow parking along both sides of this driveway, amongst the trees (please note: this is only available during fine weather as the area can get muddy and cars may become bogged). Please ensure parking does not encroach onto the remaining areas of this residence, and only park up to the gate (not on the field at the end of the driveway).

  • Car Line - Please feel free to drop off or collect your students through our Car Line. Staff members are available morning and afternoon to assist students when needed. Please follow the directions of staff to ensure a safe and efficient process.

Please DO NOT park in the following areas:

  • Car Line - please do not park or alight from your car when utilising the Car Line. If you need to walk your child to or from the College buildings, please park offsite (as described above) and walk through the pedestrian gates located at either end of the entrances.

  • SmartPlay Parking - SmartPlay Drop Zone spaces (located alongside A Block) are designated for parents, carers and staff of SmartPlay students only

  • Surrounding Properties - Please do not park in any driveways or across the gates of surrounding residential properties.

CANTEEN

As communicated in our Principal's welcome letter, our Canteen is now under new management - with a tasty new menu! Ordering online via FlexiSchools continues to be the best way to purchase food from the College Canteen for your student. This gives you access to the full menu and the choice to add/remove options.

Primary and Secondary students can order over-the-counter at Recess and Lunch, however this will be limited to available items (no ‘made to order’ option is available).

Online orders via Flexischools can be placed up to 9.30 am on the day of order.

If you don’t yet have a Flexischools account, please go to flexischools.com.au and click ‘Sign Up’. You can also download the Flexischools App on the App Store or Google Play and place your online orders via the App. You can view the Canteen menu, change your orders, add/change student details and more.

PARENT CONNECT

We warmly invite you to view our Parent Connect Program for Term 1, 2026. You can click here to access the program flyer, or you can click here to read more detailed information about the College’s Parent Connect Program.

We hope to see you at some of our parent events this term!

All parents and visitors to the College must sign in at our Main Reception located in the Tech Centre (the three-storey building at the front of the College with the large logo). We ask that you do this for all early pick ups - please do not go directly to Primary or Secondary Hubs during the day without signing in. This is to ensure the safety of our students.

The exceptions to signing in are: regular morning drop off, attendance at Chapel/Assembly, parent/teacher interviews and other community events.

CHANGES TO PUBLIC BUS SERVICES

Please see below message from Transport NSW, regarding changes to public bus services:

"Transport for NSW (Transport) and our bus operators provide a variety of dedicated school bus services to support student travel during the school term, in addition to our regular bus routes. Dedicated school bus services operate on the school term dates of the NSW Department of Education, including staff development days at the start and end of each term.

Changes have been developed in collaboration with bus operators and schools and take into account updated school bell times, new and expanding school communities, changing travel patterns, and feedback from families and operators. Service changes include adjusted routes and timetables, new and extended services in growth areas, the withdrawal of underused trips, and temporary changes to account for roadworks and network changes such as new road and light rail connections.

For further information about the changes, please visit Bus changes at Transport | NSW Government. We encourage you to plan your trip on Trip Planner before travelling. To ensure dedicated school services appear as a travel option for students, click ‘refine’ and select the ‘school bus’ option. Students are reminded to tap on and off on all trips."

COLLEGE COMMUNICATIONS

We are aware that some families have experienced difficulties or delays in receiving communications at the start of the school year. This has primarily due to updates to our database system; we believe we have now remedied these errors. We do apologise for any inconvenience or anxiety this has caused, and ask that if you are uncertain whether you have received relevant communications, to please contact either Primary Hub or Secondary Hub.

SERVICE OF DEDICATION

A tradition of the College is that on the first Friday of the academic year we hold a "Service of Dedication”. In this service, the various component sections of our community - staff, students, leaders, and parents - are each invited to make statements of dedication as to their actions and attitudes with the other sections as witnesses to their commitment. Each then prays for strengthening and blessing of another competent group of our community

The parent body was represented by Mrs Rae-Adams and Mr Pethybridge for Primary, and Mr Jones in Secondary, and I thank them for making the Statements of Parent Dedication, and for praying for our College. The Statement of Dedication shared on behalf of parents is included below and I invite each of you to read it and to make your own commitment to its intentions.

As Parents in the Community of Australian Christian College Marsden Park, with God as our helper:

  • We commit to loving our children and the children of other families with the love that God exemplifies and provides to us.

  • We commit to encouraging our children to live in all areas of their life with integrity and responsibility.

  • We commit to acting as the prime educators of our children in their life and faith and practice.

  • We commit to working cooperatively with the College in our shared commitment to the growth, development, and education of our children.
