MADDD NIGHT IS BACK IN 2026!
Date: Thursday 19 November, 2026
Time: Food Trucks from 5.00 pm, Doors open 6.00 pm (finish approx. 8.00 pm)
This amazing event showcases the vast array of Music, Art, Drama, Dance and Design talent at our College and will include performances and exhibits from students across Primary and Secondary school. MADDD Night is open to all On Campus and Distance Education students and their families to attend. This is a free event and you do not need to RSVP - just turn up on the evening! More information to come soon - but in the meantime, save the date!
BOOK WEEK 2026
We are getting excited for Book Week (25-28 August)! Primary families, please look out for an email next week with all the details about Book Week 2026, including Book Parades on Friday 28 August - we can't wait to see all our students and staff in Book Day costumes!
PREMIER'S READING CHALLENGE
The Premier’s Reading Challenge (PRC) is a fantastic state-wide initiative designed to foster a lifelong love of reading for leisure and pleasure in our students. It’s not a competition; rather, it’s a personal goal that encourages children to read more, explore new genres, and experience quality literature. Regular reading improves literacy, expands vocabulary, boosts focus, and strengthens creative thinking. Taking part gives students a real sense of accomplishment as they track their progress throughout the year.
Students have been provided with login details - if you need these provided again, please contact the Library or your child's class teacher. Once you have logged in, you can start adding all the books your child has read.
PARKING & TRAFFIC SAFETY REMINDER
The safety of our students, families and staff is a shared responsibility, as a result, the College would like to remind all families to help us keep our campus safe during busy drop-off and pick-up times.
Please ensure you:
Follow the 10 km/h speed limit once you enter the College grounds.
Only drop off and pick up students in designated areas (please do not drop off or collect students along the A Block Carpark).
Avoid stopping or parking in roadways or areas that may obstruct traffic or create unsafe conditions for pedestrians and other vehicles.
By following these simple guidelines, we can help keep traffic flowing smoothly and ensure a safe environment for everyone in our College community.

DUKE OF EDINBURGH PROGRAM Mr Paul Griffiths
The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award is a globally recognised framework that empowers young people aged 14-24 to discover their passions, challenge themselves and develop valuable life skills. Participants complete one of three Award levels, Bronze, Silver or Gold, at their own pace by setting and achieving personal goals across four key areas: Physical Recreation, Skills, Voluntary Service and the Adventurous Journey.
While students complete their Physical Recreation, Skills and Voluntary Service sections independently, the Adventurous Journey brings participants together for a shared camping experience. These expeditions are designed to foster resilience, teamwork, leadership and problem-solving in a supportive and challenging environment.
Completion of each Award level is recognised with both a digital and physical badge, providing students with a respected credential that can strengthen university applications, résumés and future employment opportunities by demonstrating commitment, perseverance and leadership.
At ACC Marsden Park, the Duke of Edinburgh program aligns closely with our vision of students being Well Known, Well Loved and Well Taught. Offered to students from the age of 14, the program has grown significantly since its introduction just two years ago, with student participation almost tripling. More importantly, we have witnessed students flourish as they discover new interests, develop confidence and grow in character.
Participants have shared the joy of mastering new skills, the satisfaction of achieving personal goals and the fulfilment that comes through serving others in their communities.
Staff Commendations As our Duke of Edinburgh's International Award program continues to grow, the College would also like to acknowledge the outstanding work of Paul Griffiths and Sarah Allen, whose dedication behind the scenes has been instrumental in the program's success. Following a recent Quality Assurance Review by the NSW Office of Sport Duke of Ed Team, ACC Marsden Park was congratulated on meeting all mandatory requirements under the Duke of Ed Sub Licence Agreement, with particular commendation given to Paul's leadership as Duke of Ed Coordinator and Sarah's support as a Duke of Ed Leader. Since launching the program, the College has already welcomed 83 student registrations and celebrated 7 Award completions - an incredible achievement in such a short time. Their ongoing commitment ensures the program remains compliant, well-supported and continues to provide our students with a wonderful opportunity to develop resilience, leadership and character.
BUS SAFETY REMINDER
With Term 3 now underway, we would like to remind families of some important safety requirements for students who utilise our ACC private buses in the afternoon.
In regard to drop-offs for Primary students, please be aware of these important safety requirements:
Primary School students must be met by a parent, caregiver, guardian or Secondary sibling at the bus stop.
Primary School students may travel home from the bus stop with a Secondary sibling, without a parent/ carer present. If the Secondary sibling is absent, the student must instead be met at the bus stop by a parent, caregiver, or guardian.
In instances when a family member is not present at the bus stop to collect a student, the bus driver will keep the student on the bus, and return to the College to be picked up at the end of the afternoon bus route.
Primary students may be permitted to travel home with another parent, in an exceptional circumstance. This request must be made via email to primaryhubmp@acc.edu.au and approved by the College prior to the journey.
