BOOK WEEK CELEBRATIONS

What a wonderful way to wrap up our Book Week celebrations at the College!

Our car line was packed with creativity this morning as students (and staff!) arrived dressed as some of their favourite book characters. The day was filled with plenty of Book Week fun, including our costume parades, morning tea and, of course, the much-loved Book Fair.

Throughout the week, students have also enjoyed author talks and our annual Bookmark Competition, with Mr Corr taking on the important job of judging the creative entries. Our Secondary students have also enjoyed their emoji book guessing competitions and their annual homeroom costume competition!

It has been fantastic to see our College community embracing the joy of reading, storytelling and imagination throughout the week.

Enjoy the images below and take a look at some of the wonderful moments from our Book Week celebrations!

PREMIER'S READING CHALLENGE

The Premier’s Reading Challenge (PRC) is a fantastic state-wide initiative designed to foster a lifelong love of reading for leisure and pleasure in our students. It’s not a competition; rather, it’s a personal goal that encourages children to read more, explore new genres, and experience quality literature. Regular reading improves literacy, expands vocabulary, boosts focus, and strengthens creative thinking. Taking part gives students a real sense of accomplishment as they track their progress throughout the year.

Students have been provided with login details - if you need these provided again, please contact the Library or your child's class teacher. Once you have logged in, you can start adding all the books your child has read.
