EXCELENCIA PUBLICATION

Recently, our ACC Marsden Park campus has been blessed with copies of the CEM (Christian Education Ministries) student journal, Excelencia. The publication showcases a collection of student works, some of which were even completed by our very own students! It also showcases brilliant works from students attending other ACC campuses across Australia. Copies of Excelencia are available to take home from the Tech Centre Concierge, Primary Hub and Secondary Hub. Feel free to grab a copy and enjoy!

FLEXISCHOOLS REMINDER

A reminder that our College has Flexischools available for online ordering at our College Canteen. Placing orders online is the recommended method for Canteen purchases and even gives you access to special menu items (including a creamy chicken pasta, available in Weeks 5 and 6 only)! Online orders can be placed until 9.00 am on the day of order (or 10.30 am for late, reduced menu orders).

Go to flexischools.com.au and click ‘Sign Up’ or CLICK HERE for registration instructions.

Forgot to order for your student? If you have missed the order cut-off times listed above, Healthy Canteens can provide an emergency lunch consisting ONLY of a sandwich (Vegemite, jam or cheese), a piece of fruit and a bottle of water. This can be ordered on the day by calling Healthy Canteens on 0405 219 242. For emergency lunches, you will be required to make payment via credit card over the phone when ordering.

PARENT / VISITOR SIGN IN

To support us in providing a safe and orderly environment for our students:

  • Please note that all parents and visitors are to sign in at the Main Reception in the Tech Centre when coming onsite, even if the visit's purpose is to briefly visit Primary Hub, Care Centre, Secondary Hub or other areas on campus.

  • Please do not walk to any other areas of the College without first signing in. You will then be escorted to the relevant area of the campus.

  • We also ask that you sign out when leaving.

  • Please note that Primary Hub and Secondary Hub no longer have the facility to sign parents onto the site.

ROAD SAFETY NEWS

We would like to share some exciting road safety news that is worth celebrating. Transport NSW has awarded Blacktown Council a grant of $449,000 to construct 200m of new concrete footpaths, kerb and guttering, as well as a wombat crossing on Farm Road at the front of the campus.

This journey began in 2023, when a group of concerned ACC parents lobbied Transport NSW after growing concerns about the safety of families crossing Farm Road. After contacting Blacktown Council, they were advised a formal traffic survey would be the first step to assess the level of risk. Thanks to the wonderful support of several parents who volunteered their time to assist with car counting during peak hours, they were able to gather the required data. From there, with regular follow up and communication with the Council, Farm Road was submitted to Transport NSW for funding consideration. By God’s grace, and through what was a highly competitive selection process, the project was successful.

We are extremely grateful for the care and time taken by our parent community, resulting in this grant being awarded, keeping our community safe.
