COLLEGE CANTEEN ANNOUNCEMENT

We have some exciting news! From Term 1, 2026 our College Canteen will be managed by Michael Pha’s team, the same team who currently manage the College Cafe. Flexischools will continue to be the platform for ordering online, however there will be a new menu with a combination of much-loved favourites as well as new items.

We extend a wholehearted ‘thank you’ to Healthy Canteens, who have done a wonderful job providing canteen services to our students over the 12 months. The ‘canteen ladies’ will be missed - please encourage your children to say goodbye to them over the next few weeks. 

Look out for ‘new Canteen’ information in January!


PARENT SEMINAR FEEDBACK

In Term 4 we launched our ‘Parent Connect’ program which included two Parent Seminars. Thank you to those who attended - we know from the amazing feedback we received that you enjoyed them immensely! We look forward to bringing you our Term 1, 2026 Parent Connect program with more opportunities to engage with other parents and our wider community.

Parenting Teens in Turbulent Times (Speaker: Patricia Weerakoon)

  • I enjoyed all the information about teen boys' wellbeing.

  • It was useful to hear about having open conversations with kids in tough scenarios instead of panicking.

  • It was a fully packed session and every information presented in the session was useful.

  • Good introduction. Would appreciate more seminars to explore specific topics in more depth.

  • Thanks for organising this session. Very helpful!

Finding Balance: Helping Families to Restore Balance and Build Healthy Connections in a Digital World (Speaker: Collett Smart)

  • I truly found all of it useful and interesting but I'd say the most helpful parts were all the practical tips and when we spoke to her afterwards we found out about how we can lock kids' apps etc using our phone for certain times. I think every parent needs to be made aware of this! Also found discovering about the app used to create a digital family agreement very useful to us.

  • It presents the current challenges with technology, yet encourages the parents to make positive changes.

  • It was amazing!

  • Some strategies given seem helpful and l am going to try with my children to reduce their screen time usage . Also going to try some parenting tips given . Thanks for organising this kind of events

  • I appreciated when we prayed after the session. It was very informative. Maybe a series of sessions would be great

  • Thank you for this provision - it was exactly the information we needed and super helpful! Maybe some more time for a few more questions would be good, but we spoke to her later, so that was fine with us.

The final day of trade for the ACC On-Campus Store for 2025 is Thursday 11 December. 

The Blacktown Superstore is open for usual trading hours during December and January:

  • Monday to Friday: 8.30 am - 5.00 pm

  • Saturday: 9.00 am - 3.00 pm

  • Monday 15 December - Tuesday 13 January: Main Reception and Primary/Secondary Hubs closed for Christmas / New Year

  • Wednesday 14 January - Friday 23 January:Main Reception open 8.00 am - 4.00 pmPrimary Hub and Secondary Hub closed

  • Monday 26 January:Main Reception and Primary/Secondary Hubs closed for Australia Day public holiday

  • Tuesday 27 January:Normal opening hours (8.00am - 4.00pm) for Main Reception and Primary/Secondary Hubs resume.
