Distance Education Residentials

We received very welcome advice this week from the people at the New South Wales Education Standards Authority (NESA) about a change in their expectations around student attendance at residentials. We were advised that while school must continue to provision for 15 days of face-to-face teaching there is no longer the obligation for students to meet that quota for attendance. This means that the College is no longer required to track student attendance at residentials and students will not be in default of requirements if they aren't able to attend.

For this reason and because of rising Covid concerns, Distance Education residentials for Term Three have officially been cancelled.

Parent Connect

We are excited to slowly re-launch our Parent Connect program, which will enable parents, carers and friends of the College to have a greater connection and involvement with our school community.

Some options for how to be involved will include assisting with reading groups in Primary classes; assisting at certain sports carnivals and events; helping with processing books and items for use by students and helping with preparation of ordered lunches.

More information will be sent in the coming weeks. If you are interested in becoming an active volunteer or finding out more, please email Emma Wynn-Jones at emmawynnjones@acc.edu.au to express your interest.

Please note that we require all parent volunteers to have a current Working With Children (Volunteers) Certificate and the college will require a copy of this current certificate.
