Mother's Day 2025 - At Home Activity

As part of our 'Mother's Day 2025 Week' we gave families an opportunity for a family connection time at home to fill in a form to answer the question 'What qualities or values do you most admire in your mum?'. Here are the responses we received - we hope you enjoy reading these lovely qualities and values of our ACC mums!

• I love that my mum encourages me and sings and dances with me.

• I admire my mum for her endless love, quiet strength and they way she makes sacrifices without asking for credit.

• I love that my mummy tickles and be’s silly with me.

• I admire my mum’s strength, dedication, and selflessness. She has five kids, works two jobs, and still finds the time and energy to support me in my dancing. Her ability to juggle so much while always putting her family first shows how hardworking and caring she is. She inspires me every day to stay committed to my goals and to never give up, no matter how busy or tired I am.

• The qualities or values I most admire in my mother is unconditional love and supportiveness. She is always cheering everyone at home through every up and down in family. She is kind, selfless, self confident and wise, and has a generous heart and guiding presence.

• My mum, Celeste, is one of the kindest and most thoughtful people I know. She always takes time out of her day to help me understand things I struggle with, no matter how busy she is. Her love and support mean the world to me—she would do anything to help me reach my goals. I'm so lucky to have her. Love you, Mum! ❤️

• Her persistence, how hard she works, how her pretty personality is just as beautiful as her face, how she always wants to listen to me, how she wants to understand me, she doesn't brag, she is selfless and very very kind.

• One of the things I admire most about my mum is how she cares for everyone around her. She's not just my mum, she's my best friend.

• My mum works all day and play with me even if she is tired. She hugs me at night and when i am sad and crying. She tells me to go to swimming. She teach me to be strong and helps me. I admire my mum because she loves me infinity

Her kindness and care for others are endless, and she’s always there when someone needs her. She’s not just loving but also really funny, and she can always make me laugh, even when I'm feeling down. She’s so generous, always putting others before herself and giving her time and energy to those she loves. Mum works so hard every single day, without ever complaining. She’s strong, caring, and has the biggest heart. I'm so grateful for everything she does and for the love she shows me and everyone around her.

• There are so many things I admire about my mum, it's actually kind of hard to explain. She’s seriously the strongest person I know. Even when she’s completely worn out or stressed, she still puts everyone else first. She’s always doing stuff for people—whether it’s staying up late to help me with school or making dinner after having a long day. She never complains, even though I know some days are really hard for her. What amazes me is how she never gives up. Like, even when things are super unfair, she keeps going. She’s taught me how to be strong, how to be kind, and how to just keep trying—even when things suck. She’s also super patient. Even when I mess up or annoy her (which I definitely do quite a lot), she doesn't get mad. She’s the kindest person ever — not just to people she knows, but even to random strangers. She always looks for the good in people, even when they don't treat her right. Sometimes people walk all over her, and she still forgives them. Honestly, I don't know how she does it, but I think that’s kind of amazing. I try to be like that too, even though it’s hard. I love how she’s always there for me. Like, no matter what’s going on—whether it’s school stuff, something I'm into, or if I'm just having a rough day—she supports me. And when I'm upset or stressed, she somehow knows exactly what to do. Sometimes she doesn't even need to say anything — just sitting next to me makes things better. She’s honest, fair, and honestly really smart. She gives the best advice, even though I don't always listen right away (but later I realise she was right). She’s also funny — like, she can make me laugh even when I've had the worst day. Being around her just makes everything feel okay. She’s brave, kind, strong, and she never gives up on people, even when they kinda deserve it. I seriously don't know what I'd do without her. She’s my role model, and I really hope I grow up to be someone she’s proud of.

• I admire the responsibility you take, the respect you take, the kindness and caring that you provide for me and my brothers

• Some of my mums qualities are that she doesn't hesitate if anyone asks her anything, and puts all of her effort in whatever requests or tasks she's been given. I admire my mum because she cares for everyone a lot and shows gratitude for everything and everyone.

• Her cooking and flexibility in doing lots of things

• My mummy plays soccer and is my coach, she has twin babies, my sister and I. My mummy hugs us and kisses us. I admire her faith and love for God. She cares for our hair, she loves nature and is the best cook ever. She has the luckiest children in the world.

• The values of a good person is kind, caring, respectful and loving. The values are not taken for granted and are a sign of your faith in Jesus Christ. My mom is one of the best examples of expressing her qualities and values. When she’s tired and is exhausted, she still provides for the family in every single way. If it’s just cooking or spending time with her sons, she puts her time and effort serving. Her loving spirit fills joy to my life and her love is an obvious sign of her character. I really admire her Christ like values of love and the will to put effort for her family.

• She plays, cleans and reads with me.

• The qualities and values I admire the most in my mother are her powerful and encouraging words used to put motivation into my family's minds, also her unconditional love shown by her caring heart and as well as her hardworking efforts in everything that she does from her work to something as simple as cooking dinner, she excels in every single criteria as a mother figure in my life.

• My mum is kind and loving and always takes care of me. She helps me when I'm stuck, and she teaches me to be patient and to pray when I'm worried. She gives me lots of hugs and tells me that God loves me no matter what. Mum shows me how to be kind and forgive, just like Jesus. She listens to me and makes me feel safe and happy. I love spending time with her, and when I grow up, I want to be a mummy just like her who loves God and her kids a lot.

• My mum is the embodiment of strength and compassion. Her unwavering support and understanding nature make her my safe haven. I admire her resilience; no matter the challenges she faces, she handles them with grace and determination. Her ability to listen without judgment and offer wise advice has taught me the importance of empathy and patience. She leads by example, showing me how to be kind, responsible, and true to myself. Her love isn't just in words but in every action she takes, big or small. I aspire to mirror her integrity and warmth in my own life. My mum is the definition of a hero and my role model.

She is the light of our home, without her it will be dark, cold and hunger. :)

• The qualities I most admire in my mum are her kindness, her strength, and how she always puts others first. She makes everyone feel safe and loved, and no matter how busy she is, she always finds time to help me. I love how she makes ordinary days feel special with her hugs, her stories, and her laughter. She’s the heart of our family, and I feel so lucky to have her as my mum.

• One of her values I wish I had is patience. She is patient with all of our family and loves us and cares for us all equally. Secondly one of the many reasons I love my mum is because of her kindness. She is kind and loving, showing us her breakfast when it's her only breakfast and helping us with our homework. I love my mum and wish her a happy mothers day.

• Some of the many qualities of my mother are how she pushes me to become the best I can be, her eagerness to explore and have fun and how she does everything for us, including chores, hugs and amazing food!

• The qualities I value in my mum are how she's beautiful, kind hearted everywhere and anywhere she goes, spreading love towards the people around her.

• What I admire most about my mum are the Christian values that she has based her life upon. Her faithfulness to God is as resolute as a mountain even during life’s most difficult moments. Her prayers are her greatest weapon and her selflessness inspires me. Her sacrificial love is beyond tongue can tell and her loving attitude toward our family is one of the greatest gifts the world has to offer. I love how she is always ready with a listening ear and a helping hand, ready to help us through anything. Lastly I wanted to say how much I love her and I wish a very happy Mother’s Day to all the amazing mothers out there!!!

Her selflessness, though at times can be self destructive, she never lets those around her be left alone in their time of need, and their time of struggle. Honestly, she is my role model for the person I want to be.

• I admire that my mum is so caring that she sometimes finishes work at night and doesn't sleep to watch my school carnivals. She is also very patient with me and my brother and teaches us kindness and to respect. She is funny and has a big heart.

• She is playful and cares for me. She is also the best mum in the universe, there could be alien mums and she's even better than those!

• My mum can do painting, she makes yummy food, she cares about me by spending time with me and always find out what I need and she always there for me.
