Read more for our 'Meet the ACC Team Member' profile. This week we are introducing you to Mr Blake Scurr, a member of our Property & Maintenance Team.
Tell us a bit about yourself - your background, experience, and role at ACC.
I’m a qualified personal trainer, and run my own personal training business in my spare time. My background is in landscaping and the electrical trade industry.
I only started at ACC in January this year as a Property Team Member. In my spare time, I love going camping and being outdoors, and I’m a youth leader at my local church.
What do you love about your job?
There is a great community here at ACC. I felt welcomed from day one, and feel valued here. Practically, I like that I have learned so many new skills as part of the job, and love seeing the finished product of all the hard work we do.
What are some of the big projects happening around the campus this Term that the Property team is working on?
We have a few projects that we are working on, including ACC’s first grassed volleyball court and cricket nets being added to the field. Our new top field is also opening up to students this Term, and we have a big week ahead preparing for our Open Day, when 150 prospective parents will come on tours through the campus.
