Year 1 Literacy, Maths and Athletics with Mrs Diaz
Year 2 Geography with Mrs Booker
In the final few weeks of Term 3, students in 2B became 'Expert Park Designers' as part of their Geography Unit.
Students researched local parks and planned out some natural and man-made features to include in their own parks. Students considered how to ensure that their parks were inclusive for all ages and abilities through providing accessible toilets and play spaces. Students also researched who takes care of public spaces and considered their own responsibility in this.
After mapping out their designs on paper, students constructed their parks out of recycled materials and wrote a reflection on their design.
On Wednesday 23rd September, 2B students put on a 'Geography Park Design Exhibition'. Students from Kindergarten, Year 1 and some students in Secondary school came to visit their exhibition. Well done to our Year 2 Expert Park Designers!
Year 3 Science with Mr Alldis
This Term in Year 3 students have been learning about the relationship between the Earth, Sun, and Moon. After learning about the solar system and Earth's orbit around the Sun, students investigated the cycle of day and night that we experience. They found that the Earth is rotating on an axis in space, while it orbits the Sun. Students found that the Earth rotates once every 24 hours (23 hours, 56 minutes, 4 seconds to be precise) and that the tilted axis is responsible for seasonal changes.
Students put their learning into practice by planning and developing a model of the Earth and Sun's interaction. They demonstrated the Earth's rotation and how the Sun only shines on one half of the Earth at any time, creating the effect of day and night.
Community Service Day
Today our students and staff worked together to clear out classrooms across campus, ready for their removal or relocation over the school holidays. We were so encouraged and impressed by our students’ willingness to serve and assist wherever needed. Thank you especially to our Maintenance staff for their management of this huge undertaking, and to all involved for contributing in such a positive way to our College community.

CSSA Futsal Gala Day
Congratulations to all who participated in the CSSA Futsal Gala Days held at Hawkesbury Indoor Stadium! The College was able to send a Senior Boys Team, Junior Girls Team and Junior Boys Team. While we didn’t walk away as victors on the day, we are so proud of all our students and the way they represented the College.
