We are pleased to inform our College community that Mr Bradley Whale has been appointed as the new Head of Distance Education at ACC Marsden Park. Since beginning his teaching career in 2009, he has served in a range of leadership roles including Year Coordinator, PDHPE Head of Department and Head of Academics.
He joined ACC in 2022, drawn to its strong culture, supportive leadership and unwavering commitment to ensuring students are well loved, well taught and well known. A passionate educator, Bradley loves seeing students grow in their understanding and apply their learning in meaningful ways.
Mr Whale has stepped into the Head of Distance Education role with great enthusiasm and a clear vision to continue strengthening the learning experience for Distance Education students. He is excited about the year ahead, particularly the opportunity to build connections with students and staff across a growing and dynamic learning space and to continue exploring innovative ways to support student success across both academic and wellbeing areas.
Outside the school gates, Mr Whale enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, cheering on the Sydney Swans, fishing, and getting outdoors - especially to the beach.
We asked Mr Whale to answer a few questions:
What do you love about your job?
I’m passionate about seeing students grow into who God has created them to be. I love helping them learn, question and apply their understanding to real life. I especially enjoy teaching senior students and guiding them through the rich content in Stage 6.
What does a typical day look like for you, and what is coming up that you are looking forward to?
Every day is different, which is part of what I enjoy. I spend time connecting with students and their families, working alongside teachers, supporting learning in both the Distance Ed and On Campus settings.
I’m really looking forward to seeing our senior students grow in confidence as they head towards their HSC. It’s a privilege to walk alongside them during such a pivotal time in their journey. I’m also excited about the year ahead in Distance Education, particularly the opportunity to build connections with students and staff across a growing and dynamic learning space and to continue exploring innovative ways to support student success across both academic and wellbeing areas.
