Year 12 Distance Education Graduation Assembly

Mr Luke Reifler

This week students in Year 12 were honoured in two Graduation ceremonies, one for on-campus students and one for Distance Education students. This was the first group of students to graduate from Year 12 in Distance Education at our College. It was precious to see in both ceremonies that the 'First in Course' awards were earned by both on-campus and Distance Education students. It must be highlighted that this was also a significant historical moment, since we believe our College is the first non-government school in NSW to ever graduate Year 12 students with their Higher School Certificate through Distance Education.

The DE Graduation Ceremony, which can be viewed here, included an overview of the 'Birth and Growth of Distance Education' in the early part of the ceremony, as well as the acknowledgement of graduating students and their achievements.

Since pioneering this alternative mode of learning, ACC has established itself as a leading provider of Distance Education in NSW and across Australia through our other branches. To God be the glory for this unique opportunity to provide schooling to over 700 students in NSW through our Marsden Park Distance Education team.
