DISTANCE EDUCATION UPDATE Mr Bradley Whale
We are delighted to share wonderful news about Sean Feng, a Distance Education student whose talent in visual arts continues to gain impressive recognition.
Sean has been named Winner of the 12-15 years category in the Hornsby Art Society 2026 Young Artists Competition for his work 'Going Home'. The piece demonstrates both strong technical skill and thoughtful conceptual development, reflecting a mature and considered artistic voice.
In addition, Sean was selected as a finalist in the highly competitive Mosman Youth Art Prize 2026, which attracted close to 400 entries. His work 'We Are Living in the Synthetic Tide' was exhibited at the Mosman Art Gallery between 28 March and 27 April, placing him among a distinguished group of emerging young artists.
We are also pleased to share that Sean Feng has been selected as a finalist in the 2026 St Columba’s Art Prize. This annual exhibition features works by both established and emerging artists from across Australia. This is a tremendous achievement, and we are proud to see Sean represented among such a strong field of artists.
These accomplishments reflect Sean’s consistent dedication to his practice and his growing presence within significant youth and national art platforms. We warmly congratulate him on these achievements and look forward to seeing how his artistic journey continues to develop.
Please enjoy the accompanying images of Sean’s works and exhibition.
